General advices

Plenty of programs and grants exist that can fund your mobility : have a look to the list of fundings below !

You are seeking for a postdoctoral position abroad ?

When seeking for your postodoctoral position, don't forget to have a look at some specialised websites that list postdoctoral offers, such as the ACM SIGOPS Eurosys chapter, Academic Jobs EU, Research Gate, etc.

Many postdoctoral positions are also posted on thematic mailing-lists, i.e. DBWorld, SEWORLD, SIGCHI, sig-IRlist, etc. Don't hesitate to ask your advisors and colleagues for the mailing-lists most related to your field.

Practicalities

Before departure

If you are doing a mobility while you are a LIRIS member, you will have to declare your mobility and get an authorization ("ordre de mission - OM") before you leave.

IMPORTANT: If you make a mobility outside EU, you will have to respect the following process:

  1. Check whether the country where you are planning to go is considered to be "at risk" on this website
  2. At least 3 weeks before your departure, contact your administrative manager in order to obtain an OM. At this point, you might not get an authorization if the country you choose is considered to be "at risk".

Once you have your OM, you will have to register on ARIANE, an application of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
